1. Why is your clothing so expensive?

Our clothing is custom made at the time you place your order, to fit you and your specifications. Every stitch is inspected, every seam scrutinized, in the effort to make quality, lasting garments. We do not mass produce our garments and strive for protection by using professional equipment. Each piece is a time consuming work of love.

2. What types of payment methods do you accept?

At this time we only accept money orders and Paypal. Sorry, we cannot accept personal checks at this time. Orders may be placed 24 hours a day on our secure server. When paying by money order, print the order form page and mail or fax the printed order form to us. Please mail this printed page with your money order. Make all money orders payable to:

3. Do you accept international orders?

International money orders or Paypal will be accepted as payment for any order outside the U.S.

4. What is your return policy?

You may return or exchange any unwashed, unworn item within 14 days of your receiving it. Please note that you will be refunded the price of your item MINUS a 25% restocking fee. As mentioned above, all pieces are a time consuming work of love and care, and made for you at the time of order. Exchanges will be handled as such, and no restocking fee will be charged for exchanges only. Shipping and handling charges will apply and will not be refunded under any circumstances. An exception to this is the Elizabeth Dress. Because this item is extremely time consuming and made to fit only you and to your color preferences, it may be impossible to resell, therefore IT IS NON-REFUNDABLE and a FINAL SALE. We are not responsible for any errors made by you in inputting measurements, etc. BEFORE sending an item back to us, please email us, and state what item you will be returning and why and if you would like another item or a refund. We will then send you a confirmation email with a designated confirmation number to include with your order. WE CANNOT ACCEPT ITEMS WITHOUT FIRST CONTACTING US. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter. When sending items back to us, insurance is highly recommended, as we are not responsible for lost packages.

5. What about backorders?

Occasionally, a fabric or color that you may have selected may be unavailable due to many circumstances. If this should happen, you will receive a notification stating so. If in 3 weeks time, if we are unable to obtain the necessary materials to create your garment, we will notify you once again and ask if you would like to choose another color, item, etc, or a refund.

6. How long will it take to receive my order?

Most of the time, you should receive your order in 6-8 weeks. Because each item is made to order, there is a waiting period. You will probably get your order much sooner, as this is an estimate during our busiest times, but there is no guarantee. The speed of your order depends on the size of the order and the types of items ordered. If you need a garment on a certain date, please email us AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Depending on how large your order is and how soon you would like it, you may be subject to a RUSH CHARGE. A Rush Charge is 40% of the price of your order.

8. If I supply the fabric and/or pattern, can you make the garment?

No, sorry. Because only certain fabrics are suitable for certain garments, we cannot fulfill that request at this time. However, if there is another COLOR that you would like that is not listed as a choice, we would be happy to create the garment if the fabric is available in that color. Please contact us if there is a color that is not listed in a garment you wish to order.

9. Do you have a printed catalog?

No, sorry. You may however, print any pages from this web site for your own personal reference. Please note that all materials, images, and designs are protected and copyrighted by Flaxen Fortress Creations and may not be used or reproduced anywhere for any reason without prior written consent from us.
